Giovanni Antonio Sangiorgio (born
Milan; died
Rome 1509) was an Italian
canon lawyer and
Cardinal. He has been called one of the ‘last two great commentators on feudal law’.
He was
bishop of Alessandria from 1478; he was referred to as the Cardinal of Alessandria. He was
bishop of Parma in 1500.
His
De appellationibus was an early printed book (1474,
Como,
Ambrogio d'Orco and
Dionigi Paravicino).
